Appel à participation - Call for entry

Le temps passe, la rentrée est faite, voici une bonne nouvelle pour le monde du trou d'épingle.
On prépare une seconde expo internationale donc voici l'appel in french and in english.


Appel à participation à une exposition


Le Centre Culturel André Malraux du Bourget organise sa seconde exposition internationale de photographie sans objectif ( sténopé, zone-plate, sieve… )
Le thème de l’exposition est : Nature urbaine
Nature urbaine ! Du géranium sur le balcon au brin d’herbe s’obstinant à pousser entre les pavés des rues, des espaces verts aménagés aux friches des terrains vagues, des pigeons volants en liberté aux ours en cage dans les zoos… Les images doivent donner votre réponse à la question : quelle place la nature occupe-t-elle encore dans nos grandes cités ?
Chaque photographe disposera d’une surface de 1 m2 qu’il remplira à sa guise avec le nombre d’images qu’il veut ! 1 image de 100 x 100 cm, 4 images de 50 x 50cm ou 100 images de 10 x 10 cm… Qu’elles soient présentées en carré, en rectangle, en L ou… Peu importe le nombre et la disposition, la surface doit être de 1 m2 !

L’exposition aura lieu du 4 mars au 27 avril 2008 au CCAM du Bourget.

Pour participer, envoyer avant le 31 décembre 2007, par Internet uniquement un dossier comprenant les pièces suivantes :
- Reproductions des images telles qu’elles apparaîtront à l’exposition. Les reproductions seront numérotées. Chaque reproduction devra mesurer 15 cm dans sa plus grande dimension en 300 dpi, puis être passée au format .jpeg qualité maximale. Les images numérisées doivent être dépoussiérées, en format RVB pour la couleur, en niveaux de gris pour le Noir et Blanc.
- Un schéma présentant votre disposition avec le numéro des images. L’utilisation de cadre n’est pas obligatoire, vos images peuvent être simplement contrecollées sur un support rigide ou encore se présenter sous forme d’un rouleau…
- Une fiche (format .RTF ou .PDF) présentant (en français, anglais ou espagnol):
- Vos Nom, Prénom, Adresse, Pays, votre adresse de courrier électronique.
- Une courte biographie (5 lignes)
- Les caractéristiques de votre ou vos appareil(s) à sténopé utilisé(s) pour créer ces images (longueur focale et diaphragme)
- Un court texte (en français, anglais ou espagnol) présentant votre travail sur ce sujet (5 lignes maximum).
- Une photo de chaque appareil utilisé, éventuellement numérotés, en correspondance avec les reproductions. Cette (ces) image(s) devra (devront) mesurer 7 cm dans la plus grande dimension en 300 dpi, passé en JPEG qualité maximale.

Les dossiers ne correspondant pas à cette demande seront systématiquement rejetés.

Les auteurs retenus seront prévenus par courrier électronique uniquement entre le 15 et le 20 janvier 2008.
Les auteurs retenus devront envoyer en janvier (date limite de réception : 10 février) par la poste leurs photographies prêtes à être accrochées, en prenant toutes les précautions d’usage pour qu’elles ne soient pas abîmées durant le transport.
Durant l’exposition, les auteurs recevront par courrier électronique des images rendant compte du vernissage et de l’exposition.
A la fin de l’exposition, les photographies seront renvoyées à leurs auteurs aux frais de la Mairie du Bourget.

Call for Participation in an Exhibition


The Andre Malraux Cultural Center of Le Bourget (France) organizes his second International lensless Photographic Exhibition ! Uniquely pinhole, zone-plate, sieve…
The topic of the exhibition is: Urban Nature
Urban nature! From the flowers on the balcony to the dogged bit of grass growing between the paving stones of the streets, from the arranged parks to the falow lands, from the free flying pigeons to the bears in a cage at the zoo… The pinhole photography must give your answer to the question: which place does still occupy the nature in our large cities?
Each photographer will have a surface of 1 m2 that he will fill with its own way with the number of images which he wants! 1 image of 100 X 100 cm, 4 images of 50 X 50 cm or 100 images of 10 X 10 cm… which they are presented in square, rectangle, L or… it doesn’t matters the number of pictures and the arrangement, the surface must be 1 m2!

The exhibition will take place from 2008 March 4th to April 27th,
at the Andre Malraux Cultural Center of Le Bourget (France)

To take part, send before 2007, December 31th, by Internet only a file including the following parts:
- Reproductions of images such as they will appear in the Exhibition - Each reproductions must be numbered. Each reproduction will measure 15 cm (5,9″) in its greatest dimension in 300 dpi, then to have passed into jpeg format, maximum quality. Each one must be cleaned up, in RGB format for colours, in gray levels for Black and White.
- A sketch presenting the arrangement with the number of each picture. You aren’t obliged to use frames, your pictures can be simply pasted on a rigid support or presented in the form of a roller…
- a note (format RTF or PDF) presenting (in French, English or Spanish) :
- Your Name, First name, Address,Country , and e-mail address.
- A short biography (5 lines)
- Characteristics of the pinhole-camera(s) used to create these photography (focal length, diaphragm, …)
- A short text (in French, English or Spanish) presenting your work on this subject (5 lines).
- A photography of each pinhole-cameras used, numbered in correspondence with the reproductions. This (these) image(s) will measure 7 cm (2,75″) in its greatest dimension in 300 dpi, passed into JPEG maximum quality.
The files not corresponding to this request will be systematically rejected.

The selected authors will be informed by e-mail only during the last two weeks of January 2008. The selected authors will have to send in January (dead line for reception : February 10th) by the post office their photographies ready to be hung on the walls.
Authors have to take all the customary precautions for a safe travel of their works so that they won’t be damaged.
During the exhibition, the authors will receive by e-mail pictures showing the opening and the exhibition. At the end of the exhibition, the pictures will be returned to their authors at the Town hall of Le Bourget expense.
